Botanical gardens flooded with lights, shining water, and the sky is amazing. Also, the music is heartwarming, it makes you feel relax. However, there is a place in Tempura full of sweet scent that attracts people all around world coming for a visit. It is the spring woods.

When the Tempura was almost completed at May 2008, there were only cherry trees in full blossom at the spring woods situated on the west side of Tempura. The sprinkling cherry flower is considered as a kind of cool symbol, a flower of a good last moment that has no fatuous regrets or adhesion to the life and goes away without more ado.

But they thought that it was not enough to put cherry blossom in the spring woods.Furthermore, the spring woods are located on the west side. In the Japanese Buddhism, the west is considered as the West Pure Land that is a sanctuary which is the living place of ancestors.

At a time in the past, there was Period of Warring States in Japan, when warring loads of regions were struggling for supremacy and territory. When they were face to face for starting battle, they tried to position their troops on the west side as close as possible. They believed that it was close to the West Pure Land where their ancestors are, and they could go there easily when they would die in battle.

In the sea of woods of the spring, they decided to put lotus bloom that is the flower of Buddhism. The lotus bloom is a flower on which Buddha is sitting in Pure Land. Buddha sits on the lotus with a special sitting pose, Kekka-Fuza (sitting with crossed legs). They thought the lotus is the most suitable one for the spring woods.

It is said that the spring is a season when a hypothalamus in the brain is stimulated by the warm sunshine and the sexual hunger, a part of human instinct is enhanced. The spring is also a season for love for living beings.

Please visit the spring woods at Tempura. You might be hit by an arrow of love in the sweet scent of the lotus flowers!

The two new programs of Pinewave Radio this semester allow every student to show themselves

Pinewave radio has been a radio station with positive image in National Central University for several years. They are all working very hard for presenting the high–quality programs. Now, every student of National Central University has a chance to be on the air. Pinewave Radio wants to get closer to students’ life in campus and want to provide a stage for those having great voices but too shy to sing in front of the public, so there are two new programs. One is called In 2300 Street Talk, which will be broadcasted on Wednesday night in odd numbers week. The other one is Sing the Voice Within, which will be broadcasted on Wednesday night in even numbers week.

In 2300 Street Talk, there will be seven topics on alternative Wednesday. DJs will talk about many hot topics and the interesting gossip in NCU. For example, they made the couple and the single PK, also they made a personal interview with the hottest man on BBS, Jking, and etc. To promote 2300 Street Talk, DJs make a short video for each topic to arouse students’ curiosity and advertise through BBS and MSN. “Well~Our program aims to satisfy your needs for gossip and interesting topic, so I really do hope you all like it, and if not, please leave your comment on the website. Sing the Voice Within is a singing contest on the air for NCU students to show their talents for singing behind audience. Pinewave Radio wants make NCU stars so they provide some participants an opportunity to attend a class, learning how to make a great performance on stage. “To be well-connected with the campus and students, Pinewave Radio decided to make a program which all the members in NCU can get involved. As a result, the singing competition was born. This competition is not only for singing, but gives students an opportunity to become campus stars. So, let's just wait and see who will become the super star in NCU!” the headquarters, Alvin said.

These programs aim to build a closer connection between Pinewave Radio and the students of NCU, so there is message sphere in official website. Furthermore, they have BBS, Facebook, website, NCU newspaper, and videos on Youtube to make all the information the most updated one. So, tomorrow night when you are in the dorm, just turn on the pinewave radio, enjoying it, you will definitely have a wonderful night you have ever had!

One suggested revision is about grammar that the writer has to add “will” to one of the sentences to make the tense more integrated. The other is about content that the writer could add her own opinion to the two programs and step on readers’ shoes, adding what reasons make the programs attract students in NCU and what results do Pinewave workers expect to get from these.



(3) a brief comment on the entire article with respect to organization, length, logic, and style.

I think the main idea of the news is very close to us and clear. The writer is like broadcast an advertisement but she add the official speaking that really make this news valuable and persuasive. In the first paragraph, the introduction is clear. In the following two paragraphs, the writer respectively give more details to each program that can make readers understand step by step. The concluding paragraph is trying to catching readers’ attention.
